Happy Labor Day to one & all! It is raining here (remnants of tropical storm Lee), so our fun will have to be indoors.

It must be Labor Day. How do I know? Because I'm laboring my butt off. Roommate's having a yard sail, I had to carry everything up front. I keep trying to sell her dog and cat as revenge. Dog still has a sign for $5 on it, she hasn't noticed.

I think I'm actually gonna take a day off working on the house. Head down to the harbor where the Festival of Sail is going on. Check out some tall ships. I still haven't taken a tour of the USS Dolphin, the latest ship to be added to the maritime museum. Anybody here ever been on a submarine? We have an old Soviet sub here. I can't believe anyone could ever live in such close quarters. The captains quarters is about the size of an old telephone booth.

Hardy har har! One thing's for sure, the sail was not large enough to cover everything when it started raining. Been living here over 20 years and I've never seen rain at this time of year. Mother Nature... why hast though forsaken us!

I'm working. Could be grilling, could be roaming the Spirit Halloween that opened up down the street, but no. I'm working.
Oh well, that holiday pay I get will go towards something nice.

Happy Labor Day! We are still enjoying cooler temps here. It made it to 80, but that's a good 25 degree difference so it really feels like Fall. I'm making a batch of chicken and dumplings. It's supposed to drop into the low 50s tonight so I think I will enjoy some hot chocolate then!

well, it's hot here, not humid today, I did open the windows for the first time in many months to let the breeze in and try to freshen the apartment a little, but, I am getting the smoke from all the grills that are fired up around here, so I get the BBQ experience with out all that pesky eating of grilled food......

That's about how it is here. 93 is still hot by some standards, but it's a good 10 or 12 degrees cooler than it's been for the past month and a half straight in my neck o' the woods.

Was in Northern WI for the weekend and it got down to 39 last night!! Temps up there during the day were in the lower 60's....and in the woods and had that fall feel...almost Blair Witch-esque...was surreal.

Well, guess what here?? My best crazed cousin Mac was carrying 12 gauge shotgun under the seat of his car today when he was here b/c he already knew that a couple of junkies were going after him since Labor Day weekend! So I made him to stay here for a whole week! Those junkies want more weeds (you know, marijuana) from my cousin so they didn't owe my cousin the monies for 3 months! My cousin refused to sell them and they wanted to kill him! :? My cousin and his girlfriend are staying here as long as they can. ;)
