Years ago they really did tell ghosts stories at Christmas. I was shocked when I found this out. If I ask "What is the time of year for ghost stories?" anyone would say "Halloween!" But believe it or not there were ghost stories at Christmas. It may seem strange now but back then it was just as normal as decorating the tree.

I read it in a book about ghost children. It had stories of ghosts and had lots of stuff about the ghosts of children. It had a chapter of Christmas ghost stories. And it said that Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol may have started ghost stories at Christmas.
