What do George Michael and that other guy(Andrew Ridgeley) have to do with nice weather? I am sure they enjoy it as much most people, but do they control it now?
oh my, yes
I had to read all of that a few times before I got it.

It's been a pretty depressing week. I found out my Grandma put one of her cats to sleep, one I remember holding as just a tiny little kitten. I also found out one of my friends and former co-workers from Sitel just passed away the other day. To be honest, I took the news with a lot of shock, because I never expected something like that could happen so suddenly.
Between all that, and having a rough time with work, and my feet hurting (I just changed my shoes to Dr. Scholl's) it's just a wonder I haven't completely lost it yet.
I've been through some rough times in the past though. I'm sure things will get better. They just have to.

“I heard a joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he’s depressed. Says life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world. Doctor says, “Treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go see him. That should pick you up.” Man bursts into tears. Says, “But doctor… I am Pagliacci.” Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains.” – Rorschach

R.I.P. Robin. Nanu Nanu.

It is indeed sad...and ironic how he brought laughter to so many people when he himself was depressed.

I didn't know he made a speech about how one shouldn't commit suicide, and yet he does so himself.

Regardless, I am sure he'll be missed by many fans. RIP Robin Williams.

I think anyone who paid close attention to Robin Williams' performances over the years was well acquainted with the poignancy in them. It is also not very surprising to learn he was manic-depressive, considering how manic his interviews and stand-up routines were. Depression is an actual illness, as serious as cancer, and many manic-depressives attempt to "self-medicate," meaning that they are prone to addictions of various sorts. Sadly, Robin Williams is one of many highly accomplished people who have battled this illness and lost (Meriwether Lewis, of Lewis and Clark fame, was another one). It makes me very sad.

Watching him when he and Jonathan Winters were on Mork and Mindy were hilarious. Jim Carrey is supposed to suffer from similar problems.

It's just sad when people have so much to live for and take the easy way out. For the next 6 to 8 weeks we will be dealing with copycat suicides and suicide attempts. It never fails to happen.

Have you watched Insomnia or One Hour Photo?
I think he let us look into his real world with those two.

Disturbing stuff in there.

I think I may have seen One-Hour Photo, but only once. It was, as you say, disturbing.
