I've played with a Ouija board a few times but I never played with anyone I could trust not to move it around with their hands....so who knows if they actually work.........I never did it alone

Ouija boards are a gate way for unclean spirits, and that's why I would never have one in my house. I actualy found one in the attic when If irst moved in. It went right into the fire place.

I moved into that house in 1996. That ouija board was old and dusty, and apearently had not been used in a while. It was NOT one of those "Parker Brothers" board games you buy at Toys R Us. This was actualy a good quality piece of wood working, but I didn't care. I burned it, because ouija boards are gate ways to the realm of spirits, and I do not mess around in that realm.

Growing up in the late 60's and early 70's I use to see them in the game section of the Sears Wishbook, of course at that age it was nothing but a curious looking toy to me that my parents would never let me have......as I grew older I surely found out why

My dad said when he used one it flew off the board.

I've heard stories about people becoming satanists because they started playing around with ouija boards and in the realm of spirits. I heard of people who were possessed by demons, and others still who were constantly tormented by devils after playing with a ouija board. Like I said before, the realm of spirits is no place to play.

Well, now my dad is a Christian and warns against that stuff but yeah, some people could become satanists after that.

You could've made some good money selling it if that thing was authentic Pumpkin Man!
Of course, did they even have ebay in 1996? I can't remember. I was in 6th grade.
But in all seriousness, you probably did the right thing. I have a picture of one in my room, with a cat sitting in front of it. But it's only a picture of one, I doubt that would do any harm.
The way I see it things aren't evil. People are. And anything can be used for good or evil. An ouiji board that's just sitting there untouched isn't evil by itself. But it can be used for evil. Then again, I'm not really sure how an ouiji board could be used for good. The same could be said of a gun though. Guns aren't evil by themselves, but the person behind the trigger might be if they kill someone with it. Of course, guns can also be used for protection, or hunting meat for food. You could argue that an ouiji board could be used to help a spirit cross over to the other side, who was left here because of a traumatic death, unfinished business, or perhaps even an improper burial. Of course, some of these things may simply be superstition as well, but this is of course, the stereotypical reasons a ghost would be in the realm of the living in the first place. Of course, I'm a chicken, and I don't think it'd be worth the risk. I don't exactly know everything about the world of spirits, and I rather not mess with it, just in case that spirit does happen to be a demon in disguise.

It's only plastic and cardboard! It's no more dangerous than Monopoly, which invites in the spirit of greed, and the desire to go to jail, go directly to jail.
