That doesn't look like a vermin scratch. Honestly, if he's waking up with scratches like that...it could very well be malevolent.

Well, yeah, if it's supernatural, it is most certainly malevolent! In addition to the cats, buy a crucifix and wear it, Castle! I don't know if that would help, but it couldn't hurt, either.

I say try to find help and identify what you're dealing with first. A crucifix might antagonize it and/ or piss it off, especially if you don't know what your dealing with. A crucifix is only as much help as the faith you have.

Things seem fine for right now. Getting angry at it seemed to work for the moment. But if it starts up again, I'll probably seek help. I don't mind stuff moving around my room, as long as I don't get messed with.

Maybe he could just play really irritating music or tv shows non-stop. I bet if he put it on Nick Jr. for a few hours one night, that ghost would be like, 'I can't take this s**t, I'm outta here'

At least that's how I feel when I have to watch Nick Jr. with my niece :?

I'll just wear my Halloween costume all the time. That would freak anyone out.

Why is it that paranormal experiences most frequently occur at night, in or around situations involving sleep? Do ghosts wait until people aren't fully conscious to visit them, or is it that the state of semi-consciousness is prone to creating ghosts? I have had dreams that seemed very real, right up to the moment of waking, and I've noticed that many ghost sightings occur when someone wakes up in the middle of the night to find a ghost there.

Draw from that what conclusions you may.

That is a very good point. One that i've heard people argue before.

The human mind is a very complex thing. The brain is truely fascinating.

It usually takes me an hour to fall asleep. The noises I hear at night happen when I'm fully awake, and I know I'm not dreaming because things will actually be in another spot when I go to check on them (I always put my car keys on a hook on the wall so I'll know to grab them the next morning, sometimes they'll end up on the ground). But you're right, sometimes your subcconscious does play tricks on you. I had a semi-awake dream when I was a kid and saw a decapitated woman's head floating next to my bed. I've written that off as my imagination being over active while falling asleep.
