Hi All

Just thought I would show you the latest purchases today for the Witches kitchen. These were picked up at a boot fair (Garage sale!)

Image

The contents looked really good, sort of sea weed shells and goo. Some sort of alixia for curing something i'm sure!

The other bits in the next photo are some wonderful shaped empty bottles and the spider web candle holder I got from Asda yesterday along with the tea light holder with skeleton hand.

Pum'kinpye, the Bag of bones .... my Dad intends to make me a smallish coffin from cardboard and have it stand semi upright with the bones inside sort of hung from the base so you can see them all. This is then going to stand in the hallway so you see it as you enter the house! Well...that is the plan

Image

The next picture is of some skull globlets I got in Asda. (Plastic) I think they will look great with red wine in! The picture isn't great as the flash reflected off the plastic but I think you can just about see them!

Hi DOD

I am SOOOO excited. I cannot believe how fortunate I have been with my bargin finds. (Todays were due to my Mum, she found them!) I am longing to put them all together and set it all out but I must be patient :?

The bottles today gave me a few new ideas about how to fill the empty bottles. I think I am going to go to the beach and see if I can find anything interesting there. It appears to be a type of oil inside the filled ones so I think I will follow that lead and use it in a few of the others too.

I must say though, the only reason I have managed to get this far with it is because of the input of everyone on here, you all inspired me to think a little deeper than I normally would and I was shocked at what I found I could achieve. Thank you!! :D

Love all the cool bottles you're finding.
I saw some skull face glasses too but they were more of a mug.
Love seeing all your stuff.

Hi pum'kinpye!

I saw the mugs too but I thought I would go for the goblets as I thought if I don't use them to drink from I may use them to put food in on the table and it gives it a little height rather than just the flat serving trays....won't decide though until I start to put the food out.

I got 4 of the skull shot galsses too. Not sure what I am going to use them for yet but I just had to have them! :)

[quote="MHooch"]Even better!!! I costumed as the apple-toting wicked witch from Snow White one year...one of my best costumes ever!

Hey do you have pictures of that costume? I am wanting to be a old witch hag. But I want a picture to kinda give me a better idea. I have the cape with hood and the great big skirt and shirt, but I feel like I am missing something.

sweet lil vampire:

That costume was long before I got into the digital age!! But I took some pictures of the pictures, they aren't the best, but you'll get the idea. One of the things that made it cool was that I took latex gloves (you know, the medical kind) and covered them with tissue paper and green makeup, so my hands sort of matched my face. And I put a pillow in a backpack, then put the backpack on under my robe, so that it looked like I had a big hump in my back. Hope this helps.

Britishwitch: I absolutely LOVE the herbs in oil (or whatever they are floating in). That gives me ideas for my 'Potions Class' bottles, thanks!!

HI All

Just wondering how everyones Witches Kitchens are coming along?

I have nearly finished my Hat decorations (one more coat of paint and their buckles!), then I can make a real start on my potion bottles!

Some don't need anything really except a label but others are going to be a bit more challenging!

Would be really interested how everyones are coming along :)

I don't know if the 'Potions Classroom' counts as a witcheskitchen, but I'm starting to put the bottles and jars together with the labels and such, I'll post pics.
