yep :) i'm talking about casper the friendly ghost

i'd say it was black in white but it was really red and black
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Every episode of "Casper the Friendly Ghost" I ever saw was in color. In those days, everything was done on either 35mm film or 16mm film, so your DVD or VHS of "Caspar" was probably done from a faded print. I got a really nice remastered DVD of a lot of those old favorite cartoons, and I love it. I like to feature a cartoon every Saturday night before screening the horroe movie that the "Creature Features" forum votes to air.

Well, Nick, don't feel too bad, because I didn't event ake photos last year. I was busy handing out ToT candy and lighting off orange and yellow smoke bombs and I didn'te vent hink to get the camera out. Now that I have that really nice 5D Mark II, I suppose I don't have any escuses any more.

This isn't Halloween but autumn.
One of the Liquid Ambar trees in the front garden hangs onto it's leaves 'til the end of winter.
I took these pix a couple of days ago.

As you are now so once was I,

Prepare for death & follow me.

Last Halloween I carved a pumpkin to look like Aku from the cartoon series Samurai Jack, and we also had one to look like a kitty cat.

Andy, thank you for the picture. That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
I am hating this dank, dark winter we're having! Usually we have some sun.
At least the picture brings some color besides gray!
