I already screened the "The Great Pumpkin" twice so far, and I plan to screen it again after I get home from running errands. It's a cloudy, gloomy day here, so I will probably screen on the original 1932 "Frankenstein." Old Boris Karloff has not, to this very day, been out done on the portrayal of the Frankenstein Monster. Like Bela Lugosi, the archetypical Count Dracula, and Lon Chaney Jr, the Archetypical Werewolf, those images are cemented into the American imagination, probably for ever. Taking into account that all of those original Universal monster classics are going to be 100 years old when we get to the 2030s. And today's weather is the archetypical weather for an old fashioned monster movie.

I need to watch Exorcism of Emily Rose next. People either like that one a lot, or they don't. I love it. I find it very eerie and ambiguous.

Well, my friends, it's been fun again...
Unfortunately I must cut my horrorthon a bit short this year...
I am leaving this morning to visit my family in Louisiana for a week...
That said, I will enjoy some more movies between now and the big day...
Mostly on Halloween when I spend the night with my cousin who also is into horror...
That day I am also scheduled to visit with my old local horror host (retired) The Great Boudini...
He sure kept us entertained as children, hosting after-school cartoons and horror movies on weekends...
Anyway, hope the rest of your Halloween season is amazing, and I look forward to seeing you all again next year

Yes, I have both The Last Exorcism and its sequel on DVD. The first one is especially creepy.
Have fun on your vacation, and Happy Halloween!

Today I am going to screen a couple of the Hammer films in my collection, and I do plan to 'Trick or Treat' myself to the "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" at least 1 more time before the big arrives next Thursday. I had my family Halloween party yesterday and it was a lot of fun. A few of my friends are coming over on the day for a couple of scary movies and snick snacks for ToT.

Sounds like fun! Our Trunk or Treat at church was highly successful, too.

That's great, Murf. It's going to be like Winter here in Streator this Halloween, though so I might get a lot of ToTers, but I'm still having my party and it's going to be a lot of fun.
