This year I am going to check out a couple of haunted places in Minnesota. This is mainly going to be a "haunted road trip," because it's been a while, and I would like to update my creepy photo porfolio.

That sound like fun. I never took a horror vacation.

Chang, I love to visit haunted places, but unfortunately mroe often then not I end up disappointed and frustrated. For every Bartonville Insane Asylym there are 10 other supposedly haunted places that just aren't worth writing home about. Take that stretch of Old Route 66, for instance. There was nothing particularly creepy about it, it was indistinguishable from any other stretch of 2 lane black top, running in between any two corn fields.
So if you plan on taking "haunted vacations," you better be prepared for lots and lots of frustration and disappointment, BUT when you do find that one gem, it's well worth it.

Andy, that's down right chilly. We finaly got some very much needed rain, and I'm hoping to get a break from this swealtering heat, if for no other reason, to get a break on my airconditioning bill.

That's what it's been like in my neck of the woods, Witchy. Temps in the upper 90s or over 100. I am really hoping for cooler weather tomorrow so I can mow my lawn. The grass is brown, but the weeds are almost as tall as I am.

All of our grass is just dead, they told everyone in our area not to water our lawns like 2 months ago, I mowed 2 months ago and haven't had to since, it's still only 3 inches tall and dead !!!

Crikey! Don't think I could handle those kinds of temps anymore, definitely not the humidity. Even though it was only 80° here yesterday I was working on a roof and got a purty good sunburn.

Ha Ha Andy! I was just listening to the ballgame and our play-by-play guy was talking about how he can see people in the crowd wearing winter coats with scarves. I've been to games at AT&T park in the summer, I believe him. Wind whips though that place so bad it gets downright chilly.
Stupid Gnats are beating us. I want our skipper back!

You guys will be happy to hear the heat finally caught up with the left bottom corner of the US. It's 86° here near the beach. My poor friends that live in East County are probably melting. It's usually about 20° hotter in El Cajon and just gets worse the further east you go. Then again, they have air conditioners. Grrrrr! At least it's a dry heat.
