Those little dogs can be mean, and they can deliver a nasty bite. Don't underestimate them. I was bitten by a Snauser once, and it didn't tickle.

Try being bitten by a black lab, and on the face. I was when I was in sixth grade. It is still numb when I touch it. I certainly wasn't laughing.

Wow! Labs are usually friendly dogs. So sorry to hear that happened to you, Boogeyman.

Thanks. It was a neighbor's dog and I knew the dog. Labs have tremendous energy and need to be able to release it. The family kept it chained up outside. Well it released all that energy all right, right on my face! With my head all bandaged up, I looked like I had been hit by a shell in the war.

One positive came from it though. My mom sued the owner's insurance company. We won $10,000, which became $7500 after the lawyer's cut. That money bought my first car, a 1980 Monte Carlo, which was old body style. The money also helped pay for college. I only ended up having to take out a loan for $2000. Not bad for going to a school that at the time, charged $145/credit hour. And this was in 88-93. I don't even want to know what they charge now.

Well, you got that money the hard way, I'd say. Glad you were able to put it toward something worthwhile.

I think that dog may have been abused, more then just being chained up. Hunting dogs, are a rather poor choice of a pet if you live in a city or a town. Irish Setters, Labadores and the like need lots of space to romp around.

No kidding. I would agree as far as the car is concerned. Regarding school, not so much. I lost my job last April, and have been on unemployment for the last month. I have only had one interview in the five months I have been looking. And Murf, I am sure you can guess what my feelings are regarding the economy and Washington.

Yes, I'm sure we have shared feelings on those subjects! I hope you can find appropriate work soon. I know it's very discouraging, and possibly scary as well. :(

No no no! He added ion thrusters to his suit so they changed his name to reflect that. Oops! That's a spoiler.
