We still have snow on the ground from Christmas and still not much sun.
UGH! I usually like winter, but if the sun doesn't shine soon, I'm off to somewhere sunny!
15 days in a row with no sun??!! HEEEELLLLLPPPPP!!

Come on over to California.
We took the Christmas tree down today and it was so warm that we opened the doors and windows.
Right now it's chilly...55 and a slight breeze.

We got a HUGE snow storm right before xmas and it gave us about 2 and a half feet a snow, which is a record for my neck of the woods. It was so much fun, but I'm afraid it won't completely melt until about March!

We are having an arctic cold snap now. 18 degrees at a quarter after 10 in the morning. We are not slated to get into the 30s at all today, and lows will be in the teens all week, they say.
We haven't seen snow this holiday season, though there were a few fluffy flurries (try to say that three times, fast) yesterday morning, not enough to coat anything. I rather look forward to snow, since we don't get it that often. I hope we have a nice snowfall or two this winter.
We are generally the last in our neighborhood to take down our decorations, since we stubbornly celebrate Christmas through Twelfth Night (Jan. 6). We were still singing Christmas songs at church this morning.

The whole country seems to be in an arctic snap right now... Teens and twenties with horrible wind here the past few days....
I love the running wolf, Bella!
When moonbeams bathe the lonesome moors
in azure tinted light
A single wolf across them steals
unhindered in its flight
As silver streaks across the sky
when lightening scars its face
So through the foxgloves and the rye
it moves with feral grace
Despite the fall of silent flakes
of frigid winter snow
Oblivious the creature sprints
in pale nocturnal glow
Beneath its sleek and mottled coat
of brown and grey and black
Its muscles ripple with a force
of powerful attack
It seeks its prey no more this hour
it’s left the hunt behind
It travels without mate or pack
the only of its kind
Blood-lust is sated for the night
extinguished, hunger’s fire
Nor passion for its sexual match
will quell the beast’s desire
Abandoned are the bounds of earth
it will be sated soon
Now single minded flies the wolf
who’s pining for the moon.
