There are five dvds of The Haunted History of Halloween? The documentary by the History Channel? The package I got only came with one dvd. I hope I did't get some abbreviated version of it.

Yeah cwolfe83 it was pretty neat unfortunately the only true Halloween store Halloween USA doesn't open up until middle of September. That's where I get 75% of my decorations the other places I go include Menerads and Wal-mart.

I stopped in at Rite-Aid yesterday and was delighted to see a section with a small mix of Fall & Halloween items. The creepy thing is that it's only 1/4 of an aisle when they usually put out an entire aisles worth of stuff. Slim pickens this year...at least so far.

I picked up a scarecrow & pumpkin decoration, a ginger-pumpkin jar candle and an LED battery powered pillar candle (so I can light a foam pumkin whenever I feel like it).

I also got a holiday craft magazine, the first one of the season.

Our local Big Lots finally got some Halloween stuff on display. It's not much yet, but they usually get a bunch of things out by the end of August.

Man I went to a place called Deals and bought some really cool stuff, for only a buck a doormat, bag of candy, a Halloween glass and a small pretty heavy tombstone that had a cool design. I just can't wait until I can display them I already have a plan to where I am going to put them. :)

No, I bought my copy of the History Channel's Haunted History of Halloween in a DVD pack with other Halloween-themed documentaries, including the following titles: Vampire Secrets, Salem Witch Trials, Hauntings, and Poltergeist.

I picked up this guy about a week and a half ago, the day Michael's brought out thier big props. The props there are usually overpriced so I don't buy them but I saw these LED pumpkins and the display unit said $14.99, so I couldn't pass it up. When the cashier rang it up, the actual price was $79.99. The manager gave it to me for $15! lol! I was so ecstatic! The pumpkins are about 3 feet tall (to my hip) and the lights twinkle. This picture is not too great because it's not the easiest thing to photograph, but if you go to Michael's, you'll see it!

I have been picking stuff up here and there at yard/garage sales. I picked up some fog machines from freecycle (the cords were cut but my husband fixed them for me) and they work great, they even came with jugs of fog juice! I have blacklights and will need to get a strobe light too. I have a small 13" tv that I put outside to play scary movies on. I love Halloween and totally look forward to it. I can't wait till the kids go back to school, then the feeling will really kick in! I'm just extremely busy trying to repair cars and buy clothes for 3 girls for school this year!

Oh, I see.
That's good.
I might have to check out those other titles some day.
