Those crepe paper demons
Have nothing on your heart
The evil I see in you
Could tear me apart
The spirit gum monsters
The corn syrup blood
Couldn’t sever my limbs
Bury my bones in the mud
There’s darkness in you
Like black, velvet cloth
Why does it draw me near?
Like flame and a moth
Those store bought ghouls
Can’t take my life away
Only childish illusion
Under skies of gray
Behind your brutal smile
Your eyes pale and green
The bitter kiss of death
I’ll taste this Halloween

Poetry is your calling Dr. Strange, you should think about it as a second career choice. Seriously.

Boy, if I had a nickel for every time a girl called me creepy...
I tell ya though, if you met me you'd never think this gruesome stuff could come out of me.
Wait, that didn't sound right either.

someone better stop me before I get this axe
I am not really worried people are very Lax
I sharpen the blade to a beautiful razors edge
then I will wait for you behind your backyard hedge
I wait there for a long time obsessed with my task
I would love to tell someone about it but they never ask
Ready now I see you going to the door
you are unafraid and unaware of what I have in store
Slowly and with stealth I sneak up from behind
the excitement is so incredible I nearly lose my mind
You sense someone behind you and I see you shake with fear
your face reflected in the window shows a single tear
I grip my axe lick my lips and then prepare to swing
joyful glee upon my face as I am about to do my thing
When suddenly a shot rings out and I drop down dead
the last sight I see on this earth is my victims husband Fred

Her raven hair against the moon,
She whispers softly,
"Not to soon!",
Caressing the darkness with her hands,
Into the couldran the amulet lands,
She whispers words into the fog,
"eye of newt and leg of frog!",
"Blood of dragon and wing of bat",
"Toungue of man and tail of rat!",
Cackling devilishly as she bottles the brew,
"I Shall have my youth once ive found you!",
How quickly this vixen mounts her broom,
And asscends torward the harvest moon,
Flying high into the night,
Wreaking havoc on her flight,
Her voice surrounds you,
But she remains unseen,
I Bid to you "A most devilish Halloween!"

Ah, yes, I struggled with the concept for years as a kid. How to pull of the headless thing. Well, most times I dressed in a soldier's uniform and cap, black of course, with sword and gloves and usually wore some type of jack-0-lantern mask. I prefered that over the raised shoulders with the empty collar, it always looked goofy to mel. One time (we're talking circa 1982) I make my own JOL mask out of tin foil and spray painted it orange. I was a site to see, I wish I had pictures.

Spooky-SpookyBoo, Where Are You? We got some work to do now.
Spooky-SpookyBoo, Where Are You? We need some help from you now.
Come on SpookyBoo, I see you... writing your dark lyrics
They're so creepy, can't you see, how you wake those spirits?
You know we got a thread to save, so SpookyBoo, be ready for your act.
Don't hold back!
And SpookyBoo, if you come through you're gonna
give someone a heart attack!
That's a fact!
Spooky-SpookyBoo, here are you. You're ready and you're willin'.
If we can count on you SpookyBoo, your words will keep on thrillin'.

Is it the devil’s tongue, strong and wet
Sliding in my mouth?
Hair of fire that quenches my thirst
And saves me from a drought
Cherry fingernails slice my back
Leaving pools of red
Are these the devil’s arms I feel
Holding me to the bed?
I made a bargain I can’t take back
It was wrong from the start
But nothing I ever tried to do
Could win this woman’s heart
Now skin so white presses me down
My heart starts to quake
A touch so warm now it burns
Makes my soul ache
As I lose myself in her caress
I wonder who I see
Is it the devil or the girl
Making love to me?
