They had 5 haunted houses & Ghouls & goblins everywhere, some even rode some of the rides!! They had a Spooky Clown palace, an Insane Asylum, Dracula's lair and a two others I didn't get to make it too, fun times!! The Halloween parade was to die for!!

I'll bet you it's nice all year, at least visually.

Ramaries69, have you been to the Blackout Haunted House? Meredith over at i09 is saying it's the scariest haunted house ever. I've seen others mention that also. At $50 for entry, it better be! Sounds like an intense experience anyway. Located in NYC for anyone who's wondering.

I'm hoping to do a haunted hayride this year. Our local Metro Park had a fall celebration yesterday with bonfires, storytellers, food, and a non-haunted hayride. It still went into the woods at night, which was really great, but no costumed characters. Unfortunately, after waiting an hour in line in surprisingly cold weather, I wasn't much in the mood to do anything but try and get warm again. I didn't listen to the storyteller near as long as I had planned.
There is a local haunt that includes a haunted forest as a part of their offerings, but I was looking at pictures on line and they have clowns in their forest. The first thing I thought was, are you lost? Did you get separated from the other clowns? Why are you in the forest? Now, it might be perfectly terrifying in the moment, but in retrospect I think I'd still wonder how he got there.

This past weekend, my girlfriend and I wandered through the largest corn maze in Virginia, which was a unique experience. We tried not to consult the small map they hand out before you enter, but grew tired of ambling around in circles. It actually took us about 2 hours in all, which wasn't too bad considering the maze boasts over 4 miles of walkways meandering through the corn.
My brother is coming into town this weekend, and I think we'll all head to a haunted hayride/forest attraction if weather permits.
I'm doing my best, but this is one of those Octobers that is just flying by too quickly. Unfortunately, real world responsibilities/concerns are preoccupying me a bit too much for my liking these days.
To make matters worse, I'm also a football junky, so its always a challenge finding that happy balance between attending/viewing games and partaking in Halloween traditions.
