Yes it is the same way. I'm dreading it, I dread having the A/C on because my bill right now is $260, imagine what it's going to be June, July and August! UGGGGHHHHH!!! I hate NVEnergy!!!

around here our electric bill is about $300-$400

Holy <deleted>! You kinda have to take out a loan to pay the freakin' power bill! I have changed my lights to CFL's, switched off the breakers I don't use, the only things that are on is the TV, XBOX 360, 1 computer, water heater and the fridge, that is it and my meter outside spins around like it's on crack!

TheHallow1, I lived in a town like that for 9 years. It was called New Lenox, Illinois, and is SUCKED big time. It was boring, depressing, and completely over run by the football, basketball and baseball bullies from two high schools that town is known for, one of which was my misfortune to have to go to. I won't say wihch one. but the boredom alond litteraly drove me to substance abuse. When we first moved to New Lenox, I was still in high school with two more years to go. My father had just retired, so we were on a fixed income. To make matters worse, we moved into a house that was a little beyond their means, so we lived hand to mouth for about 6 years. After high school, it was college. Inflation ate into my dad's pension and my mom's paycheck as a teacher at a Catholic school, and live was boring at best. The only jobs available to me were bare minimum wage dead end part timers, IF I WAS LUCKY. Finaly, about 9 months after I graduated college, I found a job in my field, saved up my money, and got the H out of New Lenox.

To this very day, I don't even like to visit New Lenox, Ill. I have two brothers and a sister who still live there, and my nieces and nephew still lives in that surounding area. I visit there o Christmas Day and on Easter. and ocassionaly for a family gathering, but I trualy HATE that town with a passion. Those were the worst years fo my life.

So I know a thing or two about being stuck in a crappy, boring town where high school sports were the only activity anyone was interested in persuing.

LoneHaunter, that is a great way to keep the Halloween spirit alive all year long. I think the forum should have some sort of gift exchange this October, i remember we used to do it a couple years ago on here and it was so much fun! Maybe I'll organize it....
