Well, I don't know if this is so much a "happy" thing or a "relief" thing, but I managed to get all three of my kids, as well as myself, vaccinated against H!N! this week. I had really been fretted about that. The flu is bad here, and one child in our town has died of it.
On a lighter note, two of the kids and I rode a hay wagon down Old Scream Road last night, an annual ritual for us. It's one of those haunted attractions put on every year by the Dept. of Parks & Recreation here.
And I've bought two pumpkins. I finally felt we were close enough to Halloween to risk it in our generally warm climate. (Pumpkins can rot on me if I buy them too early.)
Mike, I hope you enjoy your trip to Israel! I have always wanted to go there.

There was no fog on my commute.
It's foggy more often than not around here (SF Bay Area) and some mornings, especially when it's dark, I just don't want to deal with it.

Today I'm happy because it's FRIDAY! FRIDAY! FRIIIDDDAAAYYYYY!!!!!
That means two days to watch horror movies, carve jack o'lanterns and have myself a real blast.
