Druscilla was tragically thrashed and dampened in a recent storm. Not to worry. You can't hurt the dead. A little make-up and styling gel and she'll be ready for the night. :alien:

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

MacPhantom wrote:Probably my Grill Guy. He's the one I always get the best reaction from. The grill looks cool at night; there is a string of red lights where the coals would be, with lots of blinker bulbs so different parts of the strand blink on and off at different times, making it look like hot coals. And the head sitting on the grill I made from scratch; sculpted it in clay (over a plastic skull), then made a plaster mold, then cast it in latex, filled it with foam, and painted it. I made it a few years before I made Grill Guy, and since one side of it looks burned, it goes well with the set-up.

Here she is a little worse for the wear. Druscilla Queen of the Cottonwood tree. She's simple but she has slowed a car or two in her day. Kinda looks like Milla Jovavich.

She looks positively normal in the daylight. What's she like at night?

And where'd you get the name "Druscilla"?

She shows very bright white in the darkness. Being very light in weight she flutters nicely on the smallest breeze. We hang her high in the trees so she isn't seen until the TRorTRS are on their way out. I'll try to get some night shots up soon. Until it stops raining she stays in the garage.
Druscilla? Why not? Sounds like a Banshee's name to me.

Yep cool name for a banshee. I've always been fascinated with those. My grandmother used to tell us about those. She was from Ireland.
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep, and I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep. Did you hear me butterfly? Miles to go before you sleep."
