Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

It's fair cold outside, so I had to turn on the heater in the house to keep warm everywhere. So, when the temperature hits at least 70 degrees, I have to turn off the heater.

Last night we had thunder storms, and it's still pretty cloudy right now. I just got back from breakfast and I was nearly drenched when I left the restaurant to get in the car.

Anyways, toda is beautiful day partly cloud and some sunshine - fair cold.

The word "drenched" is just another word for getting completely soaked.

Maybe I don't understand. Getting soaked, like what? Ok, can you tell me a little bit about that word "drenched?"

It's basicaly just another word for being soaking wet from head to foot. If you fell out of a boat, for instance and into a lake, you would be drenched. If you got caught in a major down pour without an unbrella you would be drenched. If the sprinkler system in your work place went off and you were seated in the bakc of the room far away from the door, you would probably get drenched. It's just a sinonym for the word "soaked" is all.

BTW, the weather out here is 76 degrees - very nice! It was sunny all day, until about 5:30pm it turned into heavy rain!

The weather hnas improved quite a bit in my neck of the woods, too. It was in the high 30s, but the sun was out, most of the snow and ice is gone, and they are not predicting any more precipitation of any kind until next Tuesday, or at least that's what they were predicting the last time I watched "The Weather Channel."

Right now :@ night, the temperature is 59 - pretty cold. And, I found out on the weather news saying that this Saturday the temperature will fall down to around 40s degree.

At least when it's in the 40s, you don't get ice and snow. There are only a few tiny remnants of all the ice and snow we had during Christmas week. It's below freezing right now, but the streats and side walks are totaly clear. May they STAY that way until Spring.

The cold air is around here right now, I mean, its 39 degrees at night. But next week will be much better because of the temperature will raise up to 50s, plus sunny.

I's supposed to be a lot colder tomorrow, too.

Starts tomorrow, it will raise 50's. I believe 57 degrees.

We had a couple of days of 'white nuckle' driving here in Illinois, but at least I was able to get around.

Like I said, it's a damn sight easier to get warmed up when I'm cold then it is for me to cool down when I'm all heated up and sweaty. Winter is darn inconvenient, but a lot more comfortable.

It's was really warm here in December, it felt like April. Right now it is quite chilly, low 60's.
