I roast the Corned Beef for 12 h ours at a low setting, the cabbage I simmer for 3 hours in the crock pot, and I do baked potatoes out on the grill for 2 hours.
It's one of my favorite feasts of the year.

You're pretty little different than mine...
My grandpa has to roast the corned beef first, honestly, I really don't know how long because I didn't even ask him - but I will ask!

Then, he will start the boiling water in a large pot on the stove to add cabbage and shaved white potatoes into it along with corned beef for like a few hours.
Don't worry about this because I will ask him how he did cook like that his way.

I bake my Corned Beef, because I don't really care for it boiled very much. When I have my St. Patrick's Day party, I will cut a little piece off of the roast to put in the crock pot with the cabbage to add some flaver, but the roasting takes 11 hours and 40 minutes at 250 degrees, and 20 minutes at 350 degrees. It comes out really great. The cabbage is simmered in the crock pot for 3 hours, and the potatoes are baked out on the grill for 2 hours, 1 hour flip then over and 1 more hour.
It's a very simple recipe, yet it's gotten me rave reviews from my family and friends.

Very interesting....
So, what are you going to have something to eat on New Year's day? We will have ham and black-eyed beans with corn breads.

For New Years Eve, I plan to have Beef & Whine Sauce for sanwiches, and an assorment of chips and dips. On New Years Day, I plan to attend Mass in the morning and spend the reas of the day lazing around the house, listening to music or watchign DVDs.
On Sunday the 4th of Jan, all decorations come down.

I allways tro to get the Christmas decorations down before I have to go back to work after Christmas Vacation, because for some reason looking at those decorations on that first morning after the break depresses em to no end. I take the decorations down on the Saturday or Sunday before I have to go back to work, that way I'm back in the normal living mode, and I don't get so depressed, though that first day back after Christmas vacation is still quite a bummer.
