Oh, just a co-worker who seems to have had his sense of wonder and excitement beaten out of him when he was a child.

I saw luminaria for the first time when I lived in TX back in the early '80s. Now they are more common in other parts of the country. They are magical! I had them for a number of years myself, but the electric light sculptures I started putting up a few years ago sort of "drown" them out. I think you have to choose whether to do electric lights or candlelight.

Mac you need to get the ball rolling, no decorations out yet, for shame!!!

I'm giving serious thought to not putting up a single decoration, or lighting a single light this year. I honestly can't remember the last time I felt so Bah Humbug about Crimbo...... :?

I mean I was mad at him for what I thought forever when I found out he didn't exist.
But I still love him!

I did NOT react well to the news that my mother had been "lying" to me all those years... She still jokes that it's the reason I ended up an atheist... :D

Yeah..... no... no, I don't think I'll be doing any of that. Especially the tinsel.

But ESPECIALLY the dancing.

We got the 9-footer up at work and the 7-foot goes up at home this weekend.

The 'ledge' tree sits behind the front desk and fills in a blank space on that wall.

I work at a very old-fashioned company. We fly the American flag year round...and this is northern California. SF Bay area no less!

It's fun. There are cookies at the front desk and the price of a cookie is to hang one ornament.

Works every year. :)

Although blue lights are not my favorite, except when it snows they look beautiful, blue LED lights are pretty cool. The color is very intense, almost a slight purplish hue. One of my neighbors has his front porch decorated with blue and white LED lights and it's pretty striking.

Hi sueluvshalloween, I love the purplish colored lights. My husband will let me put them up inside but not outside, if I had my way they'd be all purple all year long, but he thinks everyone would think he's gay or something. I told him I love gay guy's but he didn't buy it!! Ha Ha Ha ( and I do have some gay friends, and their great!!)
