Now it's only 227 days until Halloween, but I am going to enjoy Spring and Summer. I had a great party for St. Patrick's Day last Saturday. I had to have it on a weekend because that's the only time I can get all my people together, and I am going to have a nice Corned Beef & Cabbage dinner tonight when I get home from work.

I will be taking another shot at a pumpkin patch at the end of April, which I am hoping will net me at least one good jack o'lantern quality pumpkin.

I am also going to enjoy Easter, and riding my motorcycle through otu the entire Summer. The 4th of July is a very, VERY close 2nd place to Halloween, and I plan to have tons of "party favors" for that day. I am going to be 50 this Jul 24th, so I am going to have a very special barbecue for my brothers and sisters on that day, because it falls on a Saturday this year. Then on FRIDAY August 13th, "LITTLE HALLOWEEN," with a horror flick and one of my fake jack o'lanterns.

Then September I start gettig the house cleaning done for the real Halloween, and by the 29th or 30th, all my decorations are up. And then alll through October, I will be enjoying the last of the motorcycling season with 'haunted road trips,' and other Halloween activities. Of course, I am planning a 'haunted road trip' for the weekend after next. Bachelors Grove, if I can swing it, and if it's a nice enough day to take the motorcycle.

What a load. You must have a neighborhood association to deal with, with a boat-load of rules and restrictions?

Prepare for death & follow me.

Apartment ToT'ing sucks. Find a friend with a house. Seriously.

I gave the apartment thing a couple tries. It never, ever worked. I had SoOoOoo much candy left because I only got 1-2 ToTers!

Apartments suck! Find a hometown or a big house! :D

I prefer my own old mansion that was left out for many, many years!

yeah, that would be nice to live in a house....wish I could afford one

I actually have a home town......I was born and raised there, it's in California.

whats it like living in an old mansion that was left out? Did the weather get to it?

When I read posts like the one above, I realize how good I have it, no offense or bragging intended. I just can't even imagine myself in an apartment, town home or condo. I know I would HAT IT with a passion. I much prefer my old haunted house, especialy on Halloween. I van play my music reasonable loud, and I own the place.

I hope that God, in his infinite mercy will make it possible for me to allways live in that hosue.

Spooky,

I have family that is now living with me for a whil, and they will move out anytime this summer. The reason they got kicked out of their own house last year because my step dad can't afford to pay over $180,000 for his own pizza business. As of now, he's making a lot of money and he's still paying off his debts, but real soon his debts will be paid off. Then he will start looking for a small house to live in anytime. ;)

Hey Spooky. Do you likd driving. If you do, you might want to look at houses in a small town, 30 or 40 miles from where you work. That was the only way I could afford to own a house myself. I could never swing the payments and taxes on a 150,000 or 250,000 house, which is why I moved out to Dwight. I do have to drive in to Joliet every day, and it's 38 miles each way, and because of the gas prices, I pretty much have to go with an ecconomy car, but to me it's well worth the sacrofice.

If you are happy with renting, there are 2 bedroom houses for rent in my town for as low as $500.00 per month. You have to mow the lawn and shovel the snow, but 500 bucks a m onth is less then what most one room studio apartments will run you in most big cities.

Mike,
the problem is, we live in one of the highest rent/home ownership areas in Texas, Harris Co. Texas is one of the few states that hasnt been hit with the housing/job melt down so it's pretty much business as usual here. The only areas that arent high is the low income/sleazy areas and I wasnt about to move there, I didnt want to take the chance of being a target the next time Jessy Jackson or Al Sharpton shot their mouths off. We also require a 4bdrm home or a large 3bdrm but thats has turned out to be very cramped, there are six of us. We also wanted to keep the kids in the same school district, we wanted them in the same schools but that wasnt possible, but we are in the same district. So we had to settle for this 3bdrm, 2 story town-home style apt thats within our budget but not in the ghetto. We have a one year lease and after that hopefully we can afford a nice 4bdrm house in the nice area again.
