Re: Halloween 2010 on Sunday
Saturday is the best day for Halloween, but Sunday is definately a very close 2nd best, and it's not often we have two years in a row with Halloween on the weekend. The last Time Halloween was on the weekend, it happened to be a leap year. Halloween either on a Friday the previous year, and "leaped" to a Sunday, or was on a Saturday the Previous year and "leaped" to Monday. I don't remember which. But last year and this year were just ordinary regular 365 day years, so there is no "leap." And I am taking the day off on Monday the 1st.
As for having ToT on a day other then Halloween, I am pretty much against it, BUT if it must be that way, it should be on the weekend before, so it's still in October, unless Halloween is on a Friday.

Re: Halloween 2010 on Sunday
This year since Halloween is on Sunday, we will probobobly be camping. Sat will be toting and Sunday will be the day we go and visit the local pumpkin patch and haunted house. I look it as 2 days instead of just one.
I know most Christians will be in church, but during October , My family spends most weekends camping, sitting by the campfire and roasting anything we can put on a stick.
Good times!

If there really is a God, I have no doubt he would rather you be out in nature, breathing in the fresh air, eating grub on a stick.
"Verily, I say unto thee; That whosoever taketh of processed swine, and roast it on a stick; He shall be welcomed into the hands of the Lord with chocolate and graham crackers." - Ringo 13:24-26
Amen.

You can, but if you make any money off it, just remember to render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and render unto MacPhantom what is MacPhantom's.

Re: Halloween 2010 on Sunday
Like I said, I LOVE it when Halloween falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, and I am going to enjoy it to the fullest as I did last year. As for TOTing, I gather that there are many traditions relating to that, but where I come from, TOT is allways exclusively on the 31st of October, which is the way I like it.

I don't care what day it's on, I'm not religious. I can always have that day off anyway if I choose.

Re: Halloween 2010 on Sunday
I allways do take it off when it falls on a week day. I take off Halloween and All Saints Day every year, unless they fall on the weekend. This year I will be taking All Saints Day of, but not Halloween because of it beign on a Sunday.
But I much prefer it be on the weekend, because there are more TOTers, and most people can have the entire day for Halloween fun.
By the way, I STILL think October 31st should allways be a national holiday. It could replace Columbus day.

What's wrong with a Mormon celebrating Halloween on Sunday? Halloween is a very, very fun and family oriented activity... that can go 'till all hours of the evening! Whee!
... or do you profess to know more about my religion than I do? Mehehehe....
