Houston Halloween Expo

Post by Spookymufu » Sun Jan 24, 2010 10:37 pm

here are a few pics I got with my phone cam at the expo, a lot of areas said "no photos allowed" so thats why I only got a few :(

This is a 6ft reaper that looked cool
Image

this gargoyle is about 5ft tall, really big "prop", it wholesaled at $700
Image

this witch looked pretty cool it was animated and the eyes lit up, sorry I didnt catch a price
Image

this was a big blow up frank that decided to come alive and start talking to my wife and decided to hold her hand and wanted to go home with us. If I hadnt seen him move earlier I would have thought he was a yard blow up
Image

there was a booth selling a lot of tombstones, all were pretty much the same ol' thing we always see but this one stood out to me, I like the glowing edges
Image

this was a full body "Avatar" paint that was being done all day, I saw it when they had started (after the base coat of blue :(, then came back before we left and they were this far along, some of it looked 3D
Image

here is another body paint I missed the beginning of, this is a full body paint....yes, full body.......:)

I'll bet any of you one dollar that Spooky buys an airbrush kit by Friday. 8)

Was the gargoyle plastic or resin or...?
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

no idea, I didnt bother trying to move it, my luck the wing would break or something and I'd be out $700 and my wife would have to kill me for the insurance money to pay for it

the only problem with these expos is you have to be a vendor, they arent open to the public, but all you need is a business tax ID number (I think)

MAN you missed the beginning of the full body paint?...!! i'd have flipped
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
