Vampires or werewolves? Which one should I choose? I'd go with vampires.

As long as it's a better vamp than Pattinson! hehe
I can't make up my mind which I like better...a vampire/werewolf?

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I prefer to be a vampire because I don't like to get hairy myself.

Witchy,
Do you think you liked New Moon the best than the original Twilight? Yes, I think so.

Glad that you did enjoy that movie! I will see it when it comes out to DVD in a few very months.
BTW, I am still saving some more money for Nightmare On Elm Street remake and also, there are a few horror movies are coming out next year as well.

Re: The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)
I haven't read through this thread yet, don't even recall if I ever posted in it before (I know I posted something about Twilight somewhere on the boards recently, not sure where). But I did see the New Moon movie this weekend with my 12-yr-old daughter (husband and sons saw The Blind Side and raved about how good it was afterward).
I feel more or less committed to seeing the movies with my daughter because we have both read the book series. My reaction to New Moon was that it was very slow going during the earlier, teen angst section (Bella is depressed because Edward has left, etc.) It picked up considerably when the werewolves showed up. IMO both the original movie and this second one were a fair representation of the novels.
I enjoyed the novels but wasn't fanatical about them. I do like vampires in general, but in the book series, I was definitely more drawn to Jacob, even though it was obvious to me that Bella & Edward were the soul mates. But Jacob seemed more "normal" to me, in that he had outside interests, other than the girl. He was able to kid around, too, which I find attractive. Edward strikes me as the kind of fantasy figure young girls think they want, but they wouldn't really want to live with someone that obsessive and humorless.
My daughter is an Edward fan from the books, but she preferred Jacob in the movie. We both think Rob Pattinson's vampire make-up does him no favors.
I must also admit that I liked the earlier books better than the last one. It's not just the sexual content, which I think the author handled pretty well, considering the target audience. It was the weirdness of the way the werewolves "imprint" with their soul mate. And I'll leave that topic alone now, since most here probably don't know what I'm talking about.

I understand 'imprinting' very well. I am looking forward to seeing the movie to check out how they scripted that part.

So am I. I have a feeling that may play really, really oddly on screen.Belladonna wrote:I understand 'imprinting' very well. I am looking forward to seeing the movie to check out how they scripted that part.
