I'll certainly put in my vote. I would love to see Rob Zombie do the remake of "Children of the Corn" and maybe even take a crack at a remake of "Rosmary's Baby."

Forward THAT to Mr. Zombie.

Ok, guess what??? I found out the news about Rob Zombie is going to remake the next movie "The Blob" soon. I will let you know later on. ;)

So, have you seen classic "The Blob" and "The Blob" remake that was in 1988? Well, can't believe that Mr. Zombie was talking about remaking "The Blob". Well, we have to wait and see next year.

I was never a huge fan of "The Blob." It was okay, but not the best movie I ever saw.

I think I did the other night, but I'll check it again. I know that from all the talk I've been hering on this site and on the 'creature features' Yahoo Group, it's going to be a totaly different take on the geliton like "blob" that terrorized movie goers back in the 50s. By the way, a very good remake of "The Blob" was done in the mid 80s, that I would love to have in my DVD collection. In that version, "The Blob" was not from outer space, but was a biological warfare experiment that went amiss. I think, but can't swear to, the military found a way to grow an ameba to an abnormal size.

Thanks, Pumpkinman! I would say you probably enjoy to hear about RZ's The Blob.... I guess you might want to go see it when it comes out to the theaters?

i'll definitely go see it :)
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I probably will go see it. I was never a huge fan of original 1950s "The Blob," but I did enjoy the 1980s Remake, because it had a more realistic Blob and a more plausable story line.

Cool! I think I have to wait when it comes straight to DVD, instead of going to the theater because I don't have time and money... Also, I hope that RZ will not f##k up with the storyline and some of the action scenes.

I pray that he will better not to do it, or else some people will not attend to see his "The Blob" remake. And, he will lose some of the monies. :?

I can see your point, but I would like to see more horror movies released in October just because it's October. Even if they were to re release some of the older horror flicks, or have a movie marithon or something, it would be nice. I've found that for some reason or another, the horror movie pickins are really slim in October where I live. In fact, there was not one, NOT ONE horror movie playing at any of the movie theatres that I could get to last October. ONT ONE!

OH NO! RZ is going to screw up MORE movies? He needs to leave the classics alone and make his OWN movies. House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects were great, why mess with someone elses awesome creation? Also, casting his wife, Bill Mosely and Sid Haig in every movie is so annoying to me. :P

Actualy, I think RZ did a pretty good job with Halloween, and other classics. I have my doubts about "The Blob," but I'lll reserve judgement until I actualy see the film.

Again, October begins this Thursday, and all of the best horror releases have come and gone. I guess it's going to be me and my DVD player again. There's NOT ONE horror release slated for this October that I know of. What a bummer.
