As a werewolf movie afficionado I'm looking forward to seeing this. I've never actually seen the original, but usually around Halloween time I can find the classic horror movies really cheap on DVD at the local dollar stores, so maybe just for the heck of it I'll pick up a copy.
I just hope it isn't going to be cheesy. I'm VERY picky about how werewolf movies are done.
This werewolf image doesn't look too wolf like, more monster like, but I think they wanted to be nostalgic and make him look reminesecent of the original wolfman, and I'm ok with that really. He does look a little wolf like.
Of course, the film industry has a lot more to work with nowadays than back in the 20s and 30s. Movies were a new thing back then so they didn't have near as much to work with as they do now.
I'm actually a fan of CGI, and if a film maker can implement both aspects of costume design without making the movie wolf look too much like a typical halloween costume then I don't mind them wearing a costume either. If they can implement both like they did in Lord of the Rings, then great. I don't think there were any complains about Gollum.
I'm disapointed though. Why are they releasing it in November? Why not October, October's the Month for Horror movies dang it!
By the way, in the wolf man wasn't he originally only to transform at the full moon during the fall harvest? But then later on in werewolf movies they made it so werewolves transformed during every full moon?
