Final grades are in! WOOO!

Post by DemonSlayerMau » Mon May 18, 2009 9:54 pm

I'm all done with my college classes and course work until next fall! *phew* I am so relieved, now to find a summer job and get ready for the fall semester...Still got a ways to go though. The Fall semester doesn't begin until August.
I didn't have any finals either, which is nice because now I don't have to worry about all that extra studying. I worked hard this semester and I definately need a break. Wouldn't hurt to find a job, I do plan on getting rid of some junk though. I asked the receptionist at the college if she'd let me help out decorating the lobby for this Halloween a couple months ago, and I'm hoping she'll let me. She said she'd have to let me ask again in September.

This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

Now just breathe deeply and let the tensions all fade away...

As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I was allways celebratind the end of the school year when I was in Grammer School and High School, but in College I went year around because I wanted to get my degree in a hurry and get a decent job.

Come to think of it, my very last Summer Vacation was the Summer of 1978. Every Summer after that I either attended College classes or worked full time, and after graduationg from college I took a job. I work at a Community College, but I'm not a teacher. I work in the Media Services Dept, so I work year round.

I am definately looking forward to the ultimate Summer Vacation. RETIREMENT!!

Well, the tension of school and grades can fade away...but I'm still waiting to see my final grades.
And now I need to find a summer job, plus my dad's gonna expect me to mow the lawn, tend to the garden, and get my junk and room cleaned out.
It's going to be a busy summer to say the least. Plus I have to worry about having enough money to either fix up my car or get another one.
So while one stress is over, there will be more to come.

Edit: Alright, since double posting is a pet peeve of mine since I know other forums don't like it, I'm just going to edit my message.

....I got straight As! A 4.0! I can't believe it! I'm so happy! I never got straight As before! My name might appear on the President's list! I'll have to look and see but for right now...I feel like celebrating!
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,

Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

Thanks. It was quite a semester. Just three more to go before I get that Medical Admin Degree. But for now, I'm gonna look for a summer job and enjoy summer.

After reading this forum I am reminded of the tension I was in the last few weeks of High school. I just graduated last month. You see, we have this thing at our school called "Black Thursday" where the final grades come in and that is know as the failures list. I didn't want to go and look at the final grades. I just tried my best on the final. The last few weeks, my teacher, who was also my case carrier was putting me down. Like she was saying. "oh you didn't get the Senior notices(just messages to send to family that you are graduating, which are rather unnecessary.) so I guess you're not graduating" And another teacher I had who was just a jerk all year, but I am very grateful because he gave me one last chance to make up some work that I hadn't done, that was crucial to mmy final grade in that class.

Woo! Mucho bueno! That's fantastic news! I know you were really worried about your grades, so I'm excited that you got your 4.0!

... I always used to play poker with my grades. I got a full house once... and a straight. Occasionally I'd get three of a kind. Audits and Withdraws I counted as wilds. (I had a rough time in college... had a lot of health issues, so my grades weren't the best because of that... and the fact I was working 30-35 hrs a week and taking 18-20 credits... which is probably why I was having health issues in the first place.)

I'm impressed though... 4.0 is great!

Unfortunately I know what that's like. In highschool and my previous college I didn't do quite so well. That, and I had a lower self esteem, and I don't think I was thinking about my future back then.
But now I am thinking about the future, having grown up since then.

Hish School was THE PITS for me, too. My grades were not that good. Math, English and Band were my top grads. Other classes that I had, I didn't do so well. I took Theatre Arts in senior year, and for some reason I was depressed as hell because of that class. I scraped by with a "D." I HATED that class, and the other students knew it.

College, on the other hand, was a lot better. I didn't take any music in college, but I had a great time. Again, it was stress ful, and Summer Vacation was a thing of the past for me. I attend classes year round and during the Summer I worked full time to boot.

I am already counting the days to RETIREMENT. That's now a little more then 6 years away.

Mike
