I will let her know, she will enjoy hearing that.
She has crocheted and knitted since she was little, but her talents don't end there.
A couple of years ago she found a broken antique spinning wheel which she fixed, and then taught herself how to process wool from the sheep all the way to yarn.
But she will also reuse and recycle.
The teddy bear in this photo is made from three different pair of pure wool, L.L. Bean boot socks that I ruined in the wash. She unraveled them cleaned it and then made me the bear. His hat and sweater are removeable, and he has a red & white knit hat that matches one that she made for me.
She is extraordinary resourceful; like Martha Stewart...but a sweetheart.
If you are famiiar with a series of books called Foxfire, then you know where she's coming from.
