Re: Whatcha watchin right now?
Cuckoo's Nest was one of the most depressing movies I've ever seen. Once was enough for me too. The only 'positive' aspect that I can think of, was that it was the catalyst for several future big time movie stars.

Since my daughter has been enjoying the TV series Astronaut Wives' Club, I watched The Right Stuff with her this weekend. That is such a terrific movie, and she really enjoyed seeing it for the first time!

The Right Stuff was a great movie. Got to have it in your video library. Remember that there is a large degree of artistic license in it, but is still a great movie.

Hey Kolchak, ever see a movie called the 'Sword and the Sorcerer'? I don't think it's available on disk but I did find a decent copy online and added it to my media center. I've always loved that movie.

I'm watching an episode of Dr Who from last season, 'Mummy on the Orient Express'. Good Halloween episode. The Doctor just said "Are you my mummy?" Those of you who watch this show should get a chuckle out of that.

Re: Whatcha watchin right now?
I still like the tenth Doctor best (David Tennant), and I've watched all the classic episodes. 3rd and 4th were my favorite classic. I'm having trouble getting used to this new one, probably why it took so long for me to watch last season. I just watched another really creepy episode though, 'Flatline'. Season 8 (modern), episode 8.

Great movie. It starred Lee Horsley who was in the Magnum PI ripoff Mat Houston.NeverMore wrote:

Matt Houston was actually a pretty good tv show for its time. Houston had that hot looking girl CJ as his buddy, and that was a plus! Good show, but he looked way too much like Tom Selleck. So the comparison was obvious.
They wanted to make Sword and Sorcerer into a series and another installment was planned, but it didn't do very well at the box office and I guess only a handful of people like us saw and liked it. I have Sword and Sorcerer and Beastmaster on vhs, but haven't gotten around to finding them on DVD. They should be though, they were both great 1980s escapist fare.

I should be out cleaning my truck but I just found my favorite episode of Dr Who online. One of the spookiest episodes there is. I dare you to watch it with the lights off. And remember...

My husband and I bought a "Dracula Legacy" collection at Walmart yesterday (has Bela Lugosi in the cover). The last movie in the collection is Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein (and Dracula & Wolfman), so we watched that one last night. Neither of us had ever seen it before.

Seriously? Neither of you have ever seen A & C Meet Frankenstein? It is a classic that I still love watching.
