One Last Hello
We might all be dead tomorrow. So I'm giving one last hello. And one last goodbye. I advise you all to do the same.
Hello!
Goodbye!
Hello!
Goodbye!

Re: One Last Hello
Good thinking. Hello for today, and goodbye for tomorrow. If all goes well on 12/21/12, then I'll see you all on 12/22/12. If not, well you know what Shakespere says: "Parting is such sorrow." And if the world isn't blown up then I'll see you tomorrow.

Re: One Last Hello
Seriously though, what is everyone doing tonight? Just in case the Mayans were correct? Spending time with family? Getting drunk?
I'm going down to a local pub to watch the San Diego Aztecs play BYU in the Poinsettia Bowl. The Aztecs have home field advantage since the game is being played here so I'm expecting a win. Worst I really expect is to wake up tomorrow morning with a slight hangover.
It does occur to me though, if San Diego's team was called the Mayans then I really would be worried about tomorrow. That would be too much synchronicity.
Gizmodo has an article on how the world really could end tomorrow. The last one has me really intrigued. Imagine someone pulls a plug and our universe blinks out of existence.

Hah! I really love that image.
I'll be either spending my night on the internet or getting high or reading. I don't know which one yet.

Re: One Last Hello
Why does everyone make the assumption that because the world didn't end right now that that means the prophecy is wrong? I guess it's because obviously no one actually believes the 2012 thing at all but please just wait until the next day before you saygfnbhsfdkogncsjbvfsjkvbchvobhviobjcsaokvndjaoAAAHHHHH HELP!!!!DNDJcbdhjabcfdFIBSDHCDSINBHSDUICBHbdhjcqbhSUVSDBHVCUIhbudivcvhdnvcdbschuNeverMore wrote:

Re: One Last Hello
Meh. Probably a good thing the world didn't end today. There's just too many things I haven't found out yet. Like... who let the dogs out? What IS the way to get to Sesame Street? Why doesn’t Dora just use Google maps? Why don’t we ever see the headline “Psychic Wins Lottery Why can't women put on mascara with their mouths closed? Why is “abbreviated†such a long word? Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor yet dish washing liquid is made with real lemons? Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections? Why do you have to “put your two cents in†but it’s only a “penny for your thoughts Where’s that extra penny going to? Why exactly did Joanie love Chachi? If a deaf person has to go to court is it still called a hearing? Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane? Does the alphabet song and twinkle twinkle little star have the same tune? Why did you just try to sing those two previous songs? And just what is Victoria’s secret?
The world just has to keep going. There are too many questions……
Mayan apology below...

Re: One Last Hello
Well, 12/21/12 came and went, and the world and we are still here, so it looks like another 'end of the world' prediction turned out to be just another wrong guess. Notice how The History Channel really layed it on thick with the 'end of the world' type documenteries??? Now the movie "2012" is already outdated as in a week from Tuesday it will be 2013. So much for 'end of the world' predictions. IF I had a buck for every time the exact date for the end of the world came and went without incident, I would own a Rolls Royce, a bigger Harley Davidson and I wouldn't have to work for a living.
Go home, Chicken Little!!!!

I agree. It is the words Aplcholyps ever. I was really llloing forward to all those photo ops of vulcanos erupting, earth quakes, and the earth turning in it's axis. Well, the good news is, we can all have a Merry Christmas.

Re: One Last Hello
... maybe it was a countdown to the day the last Hostess Twinkie was eaten?
I still can't believe it was "the end of the world" and I didn't have any cakey-treasures to munch on!!! My favourite were those delicious chocolate cupcakes... I just remember the commercials they had a couple years ago-- "Hey, where's the creme filling?!"
