thats why I didnt buy it, it's a tradition for me and if I had the DVD it would take something away from the anticipation of waiting for it to come on TV

Oh, I totally understand that. When I was a little girl, seeing The Wizard of Oz once a year on TV was a Big Deal. Now I own the DVD, and my own kids rarely watch it.

Final Destination is a pretty good flick. I didn't like the other ones as well as the first though. :)
