Re: The Top 10 Horror Films of the Past 10 Years
Thanks for posting that, i'll take a look.
Mine would be:
Trick 'r Treat
The Descent
Insidious
Scream 4
Saw
Saw 2
Ghost Ship
The Grudge (Japanese Version)
1408
30 Days of Night
I don't watch a huge amount of horror, so off the top of my head, those would be mine.

Re: The Top 10 Horror Films of the Past 10 Years
It's hard to narrow it down to just ten. My list is in no particular order and includes movies that I found scary, fun, or just had great atmosphere:
Trick r Treat
The Descent
28 Days Later
The Wolfman
Shaun of the Dead
Paranormal Activity
Dog Soldiers (don't laugh! It was a decent werewolf flick)
Zombieland
Fright Night
The Others

I don't know if anyone else shares my enthusiasm for The Exorcism of Emily Rose, but that movie never fails to get to me.
I also like Shaun of the Dead.

The ambiguity and eerie atmosphere of Emily Rose just get to me.

In the 2nd part of my video, I listed several other films that I really liked--which didn't quite make my top 10-- and The Exorcism of Emily Rose is one of them. It's a very stylish, creepy, and intelligent movie.

I can't watch that movie without thinking about Debra from Dexter. It kills any spookiness that movie has for me

The Exorcism of Emily Rose
28 Days Later
Shaun of the Dead
High Tension
The Sixth Sense
Grindhouse (Actually a double movie set) Planet Terror and Death Proof
The Blair Witch Project
Paranormal Activity
Vacancy
I like Exorcism of Emily Rose, but it isn't my favorite.

You know what else was a good one even though it really didn't have a horror vibe to it? Fido. I'm not much for gore so when I watch a zombie movie, I prefer it to have some humor attached to it. Fido, Shaun, and Zombieland are my top 3 favorite zombie movies

I enjoy humor, too. Shaun of the Dead, Hocus Pocus, and Ghostbusters are always in my Halloween rotation. Those last two aren't from the last ten years, though.

I hate to be horsey, ramaries, but some of those are not from the last 10 years. You're not following the instructions
