My daughter was really into Star Wars, last year we bought a slightly more expensive Boba Fett costume for her, one we could build up over the years as a really nice costume, but, now she says she isnt into Star Wars any more and doesnt want to be boba fett again (sheesh).
Now she is into Back to the Future, what kind of costume could you make/buy with that movie??
Maybe dress her up and crazy hair Doc Brown, I dunno.....any thoughts?

Find her a Delorean...
I think Doc Brown would be the only reconizabel character besides Michael J. Fox from those movies...not sure what type of costume you could make/do.

there is a Delorean dealer here in Texas (Humble), you can get a brand new 1981-83 Delorean for about $40k, a refurbished one for about $20k and there is a guy in Dallas that will trick it out to a movie accurate time machine

Youd have to have the jeans, high tops, stuffed roll vest, hair kinda spikey feather cool for a girl, a pair of shades, and a skate board....and a digital watch
to make it super obvious she could also carry a collectable replica of the flux capacator. But its mighty costly as seen in following link.

I'm not sure she'll want to be Marty, I'll have to ask, I used to have a casio calculator watch just like Marty....I might still have it.....thats a good price for a flux capacitor, the one the guy in Dallas uses is around $1500

Re: I have a problem
Well, who is her fave character? Who does she want to be?
Three characters that come to my mind are:
Doctor Emmit Brown- Get a lab coat and a crazy wig... maybe a band-aid for where he hit his head on the toilet when coming up with the idea for time travel. Glasses or goggles.... big rubber gloves (check the dollar store for those).... or a white hazmat suit? lol.
Marty McFly- Think 80's clothes. Jeans with suspenders which are not really used, gingham button-down tee-shirt with short sleeves... and neon orange coat with no sleeves.... or yellow hazmat suit? ... basically what Nos' said... skateboard, big watch
Loraine (Marty's Mom in the past)- wear an old school poodle skirt.... etc.
