I tried on the hat at the store and I think the hat will look good if I cut off the flaps and sew the cuts shut. Now I need to find a way to get the money for it.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

My costume is the same every year. I spend so much time on decorations, I don't have time to think on costume too much. Besides, when I have an anxiety dream, it's always that it's Halloween, I haven't put up any decorations, and I don't have a costume ready. By doing the same costume every year, I never have to worry about the second thing. I know my Phantom costume is always hanging right there in my closet, ready to go at a moment's notice.

thats actually a great idea. I've never been the same thing twice, only because I have so many personalities that want to be shown on halloween. but if i had a serious affinity with a certain costume I would wear it all the time

I remember a few halloween's ago at my old apartment, I pulled a prank on everyone but mainly aimed at a friend of mine that is scared to death of Kayako from the Grudge. To get to the restroom people would have to go through my bedroom. The restoom door was on the opposite side of the room from the foot of my bed, which was high enough for someone to fit under. I put a red lightbulb in the light in my bedroom and waited under the bed for someone to walk out of the bathroom. As they opened the door, I slowly crawled out from under the bed wearing a white gown and a black wig. I can move like she does and sound almost like her. I p!ssed off several folks that night, especially my friend. He wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the night.

I might do that again.

I had a dream like that last year kids came up to my door and the yard was bare and i didnt even have a mask on let alone a costume. So instead of opening the door i ran around to find one of my scary masks and i tried to put all my decorations up while groups of children rushed by. What a nightmare! :(
so i have felt your fear Mac and i guess relief in waking up and seeing it was still mid October
though i still get a new costume every year :)

I have a Quasi-Ring Wraith costume that I have used on and off through the years. Handy.
Most of the parts of it sit around in bits and pieces all over the house all year.
Oh, your so cool, Brewster!
Hey, Butchy. They still got Oreo's next door?
Dracula's in the house!!! In the house?!
Welcome to the party, Honey!

I usually do something cat-themed with my costume but I kind of put a twist on it.
Like, this year I'm gonna be a death kitten. I just changed my avatar too so you guys can have a hint of what I'm talking about. :)
Although the year before last I was a pirate, and that was fun. And last year I was a witch, but I decided at the last minute to put a feline spin on it and went as a cat-witch. Or a witch cat...since...that sounds less like a sandwich.
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

I actually have 5 costumes planned for this year but not 5 different days to wear them. I may be able to scratch 2 of the ideas.. we will see. I still refuse to say what they are. That is one of my oddball Halloween traditions. :)
I've met The Great Pumpkin.

I'm trying to choose between my Gothic Vampira costume and a really cool witch costume. I love the Gothic costume so much, but I'm thinking that I'd like to try something new this year.

I'm dressing up for the first time in years. I'm dressing up as leatherface. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a suitable mask from the original movie, so I had to go with the remake mask. I'm in the process of putting together the costume.

I'm being a black cat. You can't go wrong with a classic, plus I haven't done that since like 5th grade. :D

Last weekend, I had to put together a last minute costume (like, seriously, in 20 minutes) and I threw on a black dress and printed out some lies on Avery labels. Then I stuck them on me & became "Little White Lies". I took a marker and more labels with me to the party and everyone got to write their own lie & stick it on me! It was a blast!

But, that wasn't what I was planning so I am about to head out to the thrift shop to figure out my next costume. I'm thinking classic Zombie this year with lots of gory makeup. . .

I'm taking my younger brother out this year and I'll be painting my face to look like a zombie, it'll probably look ridiculous so don't expect pictures.
