Here are a couple things not covered in Halloween.com's Google news blitz...
Hulu and Blumhouse Join Forces for Holiday Horror Saga 'Into The Dark'
This is going to be a 12 part horror series, each movie-length show based
around a holiday, starting at Halloween. This first episode will be accompanied
by Hulu's 'Huluween' event, a full month of horror content. Hulu just went up
a notch in my admiration.
'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark' to start filming this summer
Guillermo del Toro is producing, but not directing, his adaptation of one of
our favorite scary books from childhood. This has been a long time coming. I
hope they figure out a way to incorporate the mood and the artwork into the
movie.

Yeah, this would work best as an animated film.
