Valentines Day Forum! Alright!

I usually cook steak and potato on Valentines day because my sweetie likes it, I also buy him beer and chocolate. I hate eating out on that day because every place is packed, and I hate crowds. I also tell Paul to buy me flowers a week or two ahead of time so there not so expensive too.

What do you all do?

We do almost nothing. I usually buy some strawberries and dip them in chocolate, as the kids and I like them, but my husband isn't really all that fond of strawberries. And I don't want him to spend money we don't have on flowers that don't last.

Maybe Valentine's isn't that big a deal for me because I never saw it being celebrated when I was growing up, except for the obligatory school exchange. My father died when I was 7, so my mother was widowed throughout my growing up years. I had zero expectations of how a couple was supposed to celebrate anything or do anything. Valentine's has always seemed like a Hallmark holiday for me, but I am not trying to rain on anyone else's parade. If people enjoy it, then go for it, why not?

I hope everyone had a nice Valentines day!! Mine was awesome, Paul and I went out bumming all over the place then we went out to the movies, then out to eat. What did you guys do?

Not much.

I made the move back to Oregon so mostly unpacking and reorientating myself with life outside of California.

I really want to move to Las Cruces New Mexico, but I'll have to wait till I retire.

Does anyone have plans this year for Valentines Day?

I don't yet but I might plan something because I am so BORED, we'll see!!!!! I hate winter, I like it for about 2 weeks then I am so done with it, I must be getting old!

Were having a great winter, unlike last year when ice snow and frozen fog were non-stop.

It was 66° on Wednesday.

No Valentine's plans yet. Our winter weather has been brutal, schools closed for over a week. We are having repeated plumbing issues in our old house. Pipes keep breaking no matter how much we try to coddle them.

Our weather is finally starting to get warmer off and on, not so much gloom and doom.

I got flowers and a purse for Valentines Day, which was a nice surprise!

I hope you are all doing well, I thought I would just check in and see how everyone was doing.

hello hello!! Any 2019 plans for heart day?

I made a few cards I'm shipping out, and a card for my wife at home. Got a special treat lined up for the dog as well! Unsure what else I might do for the date. Quite possibly just make a nice dinner for everyone.
