Dressing up? Halloween parties? Trick or Treating? Haunted Houses? Scary Movies? Decorations? Or something totally unique to you?!
I think mine would have to be haunted houses. To me, it's everything that I enjoy about Halloween all wrapped up into one a single place. Great costumes, chills, thrills, spookiness, eeriness, and just I just have an all around great time when I go to a quality one. I usually make sure I go to atleast one a year, and there is a really good one where I live that change things up each year to keep people guessing! How about yours?

That's a good one, when I lived in town I'd have to say it was handing the candy out to all the kids, meeting the neighbors and seeing all the different costumes, not to mention dressing up myself.
But since I don't live in town anymore, it'll probably be a toss up between the scary movies and pumpkin carving.

My favorite Halloween pass times:
1. Carving jack o'lanterns
2. Answering the door to ToT ers
3. Weenie Roast in the fireplace
4. Horror movies
5. Scary music
6. My midnight Halloween motorcycle ride
and a whole hose of other activities which are too numerous to mention. Oh, and I do have a pair of vampire fangs that I put in my mouth when I answer the door to the ToT ers, but that's pretty much all I do in the way of a costume. However, now that I lost all the weight and it's easier to find cloths in my size, I must might bite the proverbial bullet and put on a costume this year.

Good ones! Can't believe I forgot about carving jack-o-lanterns.
Another one that I love, and actually ranks right up there with haunted houses that I didn't mention, is going around and seeing stores put up their Halloween and autumn decor. Stores like Michaels puts theirs out slowly but surely a little after 4th of July, and I've always enjoyed going in around that time to scratch that Halloween itch. Pop up stores are always fun too such as spirit Halloween. Where I live, spirit opens in late August/early September. I'm sure some think its too early too see Halloween stuff, but I thoroughly enjoy it.

At just about any time of the year, a lot of stores have clearance sales of all holiday decorations, be they Christmas, Easter or Halloween. Our local drug store is having such a cleaarance right now. January and June are the most popular months for clearance sales of holiday items, and you can get a pretty decent deal on a lot of things.

Right now, I am trying to think up something really fun and crazy to do for next October. I don't know what that will be yet, but I have a little over 9 months to figure something out. But I want it to be something unique, fun, and something Halloween themed that I never did before, provided that I can afford it.

Are there things you've already one in previous Halloweens?
Like for example, have you been to a haunted house, or did a ghost tour or anything like that?
Maybe we can help you with some ideas for a new unique way to celebrate Halloween.

I did a 'haunted road trip' in October of 09 to the Bartonville Insane Asylum. I do plan to do another 'haunted road trip' when time and money permits. I have not gone to any haunted attractions before, but that is one thing I plan to do at some point.
I'm thinking in terms of something very unique. Something that has never been done before, but would have a great creepieness factor and something that I haven't done before. A ghost tour is also not out of the question.

Halloween use to be a big deal in my neighborhood. Not so much anymore. It's sad. Unfortunately the past 7-8 years, Halloween just hasn't been Halloween.
1. I remember our elementary school would have a fall/halloween festival every year and they use to be so much fun when I was a child.
2. Dressing up and going tot and waiting for tot to come.
3. Me and my parents would decorate the house and always put a display in the front yard.
4. Going to haunted trails and houses.
5. Staying up all night watching horror movies. TNT MONSTERVISION!
I'm 28 years old and sometimes I wish I could relive my childhood.

Well, neighborhoods definitely wax & wane. I think it has to do with the ages of the children. When neighborhoods are new and young families move in, the holidays are richly celebrated. Then as kids grow up and move away, many empty-nesters just don't put so much into it anymore. We are kind of lucky to be living in an older area that has enjoyed a re-birth. Younger families started moving in again after the older generation retired/died/moved away, and there is a destination street not far from us that attracts so many TOTers the police actually have to come and direct traffic.
If you are missing the Halloweens of your youth, perhaps you could start a new tradition, like an annual Halloween party, something like that.

Mine's visiting haunted houses locally and out of states. I have a large group of colleagues and friends, (whom I got into) haunted house hopping and each year we await anxiously for the month of October, for our road trips.

We visit as many as we can, (2) two haunted houses being the minimum. Last year, we visited three.

Nice! Where are you from, and what has been your favorite one?

I'm from the, "Big Apple!" It's hard to dictate, which one. However, we do have a favorite which we do religiously every year. This one's located in Bristol,Connecticut. See for yourself. This one's a great deal because it's an amusement park and every October they open their Haunted side. It's spectacular. A 45 minute walk-through.

That charity one is pretty neat, Ramaries.
I like it when fun can also help out a cause.
