What sparked your interest in Halloween?

Post by ramaries69 » Tue Sep 27, 2011 10:02 pm

For me, it was, all of the witchcraft practices, within my family.
Secondly, the mystery of the unknown and my personal paranormal experiences.

Um, for me when I was little, it was the one night of the year that my mom wasn't making me wear all these stupid a** frilly dresses and trying to make me look like some kind of doll. I guess that's the downside of being the first girl in the family in 30 years :?

wow, thats a tough one, I think it started because I love spook movies and I love working on "sets" so I put those two together and started making my house look like a spook movie and having Halloween parties and enjoying the reactions from the guests....

Ultimately, I would love to build a haunted house in my garage (if I ever get another one) and make it up like the haunted mansion...

TOT did it for me. Not for the candy, but for the nighttime masquerade. I love the flickering pumpkins in the darkness, seeing what everyone else has decided to wear, strolling the streets after dark in the atmosphere of a block party. To me, Halloween is the great holiday of imagination. I have always adored that about it.

I loved Halloween for as long as I can remember!! It was the only time in my life I could truly be me!! That's when I found out I was kinda creative I guess, I could dress up as anything, a witch, a zombie, ect... and everyone was soo impressed at my costumes & make, I was never aloud to dress the way I wanted as a kid or to wear make-up till I was 16, so at 8 or 9 to have the option to wear make-up & sew my own costumes was amazing, I wish I had photos tho... My parents didn't ever take pictures, it's kinda sad, I take them of my kids ever chance I get.

P.S. I've always been a night person even as a kid!!

I'm a night-owl by nature too, Witchy. It's kinda tough though since I have to get up early for work everyday (boo :(). I would have guessed that you became a full-blown pumpkinhead the first time you made a potion :D

For real. Little brothers and sisters make the best test subjects. Especially when they still really young and annoying.
