well we've finally made the move back to louisiana

my fiancee and i both got teaching jobs and moved from the big apple to the big easy this summer

we're renting a wonderful apartment with a balcony view of st. charles avenue
(perfect for mardi gras parades) in the garden district neighborhood, just a few blocks from the famous lafayette cemetary #1 and anne rice's former home

looking forward to our first halloween in this haunted city

Oh, exciting! I've wanted to visit New Orleans since playing that Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers game. It was about Voodoo murders in New Orleans... so it covered a lot of the Marie Levau legends-- her tomb is in Cemetery #1 and I've heard you can make a wish if you leave her a gift at her tomb. I've also been dying to see Jackson Square (nice pic!) and eat at Napoleon's.
I also want to visit Oak Alley Plantation and the Myrtles Plantation (even though I don't think it's haunted)... and maybe take pics of the LaLaurie House.
Take photos! I'd love to see 'em. =)

thanks yall

movers delivered our stuff but my movies are lost

the moving company is searching, but we may have to make a claim against our insurance if our stuff isn't found
it would be impossible, however, to recompile my extensive dvd collection, so i'm hoping they're found

if not, i'm not sure what my halloween horrorthon will be like this year

Have had offers to move but wouldn't.

thanks

i am a cajun native of french louisiana

spent a 3.5 yr hiatus in the big apple but happy to be in the big easy

looking forward to the many haunted attractions and events that this city has to offer around halloween, such as the vampire film festival, halloween festival (supposed to be this year, i think?), etc.

my fiancee and i live on st. charles in the garden district, just one block from lafayette cemetary where the vampire lestat spent a few years "underground"

united movers still haven't found my movies and tried to reimburse with a check for $60

i called their rep and told them that if they didn't find my goods, they'd hear from the better business bureau, my attorney, and the nypd

now they want to send it to mediation, but my bottomline is find my stuff or pay me the thousands of dollars that i value it at
