Does anyone know what the insurance requirements are for haunts in USA? Such cities and states?

Most injuries/accidents from general trick-or-treating are covered under some sort of accidental injury on the property policy (Sorry, I forget the technical term... not running on much sleep today). The only time a home haunt is not covered under a home owner's policy (and, possibly, some renter's insurance policies) is when you build a structure that is separate from the home, which would not be covered under the original policy.

I've heard that you can get a separate seasonal policy for those sort of temporary structures, though you may have to get inspected by the fire department for safety compliance first.

Maybe this teacher should have applied for that insurance?
