last year i had a theme of a grave yard and sent out cardboard coffins invitations, my invitations are one of the many highs of the party, template of martha stewart, this year i am having a rocky horror theme, am stumped for ideas......thinking of making a video with the narriator telling party times, maybe sending test tubes with scroll of paper inside with party times,...........any good? any ideas would be great.

People bring lots of props to the show when theaters screen it; here is a fan website with a list of the props: http://www.rockyhorror.com/participation/proplist.php

If their isn't anything on there that grabs you, how about sending out wax lips with the invites??

You could print and cut out the invites to look like pieces of toast.

You could ask PumpkinMan Mike to dress up like Eddie and ride his bike around to personally invite all your guests!!

Hey... I bet if you ask him nicely, you can even get Andy to put on his fishnet stockings and Frank-N-Furter corset....

There's an old theater in Tucson that still shows the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I'd go, but I don't want to have to wear a raincoat. Nor do I want to be paraded around on stage as a RHPS "virgin".

Anyway, It could be fun to make some umbrellas modeled after cocktail umbrellas... and put the party info on the outside of the umbrella... or draw on regular cocktail umbrellas something RHPS related and attach them to the invitations....

How much time are you going to put into your invites?

Having to wear a raincoat to a theatre doesn't sound like it could be a good thing, what do they do, throw stuff?

I have never seen it. I'm not really one that would like a musical.

I love musicals, but only ones with a high body count by the end; Phantom of the Opera, Jekyll & Hyde, Sweeney Todd, Les Misérables...

I do love Wizard of Oz though, I guess it's a musical, it has lots of music in it.
