I love the rest of the year, but Halloween is by far my favorite, and I wish it coudl last longer. We start celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving, all through December and until the Feast of the Epifany on Jan 6th. I take the same attitude towards Halloween. I put my decorations up on the 29th or 30th of September, do Halloween type activities all through October, and keep my decorations and watch horror movies and do Halloween activities all through the 2nd of November. On the 3rd of November I take down Halloween and start cleaning up for Christmas.

I agree totality with you I wish Halloween was a more lasting holiday rather than some people play it off like memorial day, Not saying that holiday isn't important but its once a year but no one hardly does anything except on that day. Next year I hoping to more than double my outdoor exhibit.

I wish there is Halloween everyday!
But not to worry because October is "Halloween Month" because we have 31 days in October. It's like a Full month Halloween!
I voted already, by the way...

We all say that we would love it to be Halloween all year around, but if it was, then Halloween would not be anything special. I do wish it lasted longer, but as you pointed out, October does haved 31 days, and my decorations are usualy up no later then September 30th, and my first Jack O'Lantern is usualy carved and lit no later then the 3rd or 4th of October.
I also have barels of fun making Halloween plans as the year progresses, and to add movies to my DVD collection that make for a scary watch during those October evenings at home in front of the tv. And let's not forget "Little Halloween." In less then two months, Friday February 13th will be here, and the new "Friday the 13th" will open. Then on Friday March 13th, I am going to have a late night double feature from my horror DVD collection, and something specia (something I usualy serve around the Halloween season) to eat.
So there are a lot of ways that we can get into "the spirit" through out the year.

I know October only has 31 days, but Halloween is still on my mind like everyday all year round!
Well, in August I would think abou something what to do and work on some new props and other things like that. Then, in Septmber I will take out everything to keep them in the house until October. I know it is fun and have a lot of work to do.

I allways cook something special to have for dinner on Halloween. I also have the movies that I am going to watch set aside, and I love to make plans during the rest of the year.

Well, what are you going to cook on Halloween, PM?
I believe I will have some pizza on Halloween.
And also, grab some midnight snacks after the party show will be over!
BTW, I know, you know, and everybody knows that Halloween is on Saturday, October 31st of 2009. I hope we will have more TOTers out there.... So, what do you guys suggest?
Spread the word about TOTing on the internet?
Advertising online?
Door-to-door flyers?
Put up a big sign "Halloween Night for all Trick-or-treaters on this Woolsey Street - Grab your bags and fill up more candies!"
Please post your opinions here.

I don't think we will need to advertise here in my town, because I allways get plenty of TOTers, but since it is going to be on a Saturday, I won't have to take any vacation days from work.
Last Halloween I did barbecued brisquit. I think I'll do the same for 09, only I won't be able to eat as much of it as I did this past year because of my surgery next Spring.

So you will have surgery in the spring? And, you won't be able to eat a lot?

That's the whole idea. I am going to have a gastro intestonal bypass. My stomach will be just a little pouch about the size of an orange by the time they are done with me. That will make it impossible for me to over eat, and I will lose weight. It's only reccomended if for people who are dangerously obese and weight loss can be a matter of life and death. I have a whole slew of ailments that are related to obesity, so my doctor highly reccoments bariatric surgery.

OMG!!! That's really terrible to hear about it! I hope you will heal after the surgery will be done. Well, wait and see what your doctor has something to say to you.
And, if your doctor gives you the list of the name of any foods you can eat, just let me know.

After I'm all healed up, I'll be able to eat just about anything. The way it works is that I'll only be able to eat very small ammounts. While I'm recovering from the surgery, however, I will be on a more restricted diet while everything heals up. This will help me to lose the weight I need to lose, and it could resolve my diabetes and other ailments as well.

That's cool. I hope you will be doing fine after the surgery plus hospital discharge.
Next time, please eat healthy foods, junk foods less.

Tht's exactly what the doctor ways. Stay away from junk food. And that's what I've been doing. And now that my first work day of 09 is only a few days away, it's time to get back to my diet and exercise regiment, I only have to lost 20 pounts, but I would like to lose 60 pounds by the day of my last weigh-in.
