It's not like I don't own it on all of my media, but come on ...

Of course you can watch it for free, if you sign up for Apple TV services.

Well, he had a good run. I'm not sure, but I think this is the first time it won't be on tv since it came out 54 years ago. I know that tv is changing, and most people get their content online now, and you can stream this special for free on a variety of websites including youtube, but I still think it should remain on tv. I mean, do they really have something better to air instead?

My mother grew up with it, then shared it with us, and now I have the pleasure of sharing it with my kids. It's always been, and always will be a tradition in my house.

That's sad, I remember always looking forward to watching it every year as I grew up. Though I do have them all on DVD now.

It's different if you know that millions of other people are watching it at the same time.

And pretty much everyone who bought an Apple device from mid-Sept 2019 through Jan 2020 got a free year which was then extended by another 3 months a week or so ago.

We have watched them every year too and will continue to do so going forward.

:-)

Sadly it's the end of an ear, but it's not totally unexpected. Besides, I haven't watched any of the Charlie Brown tv specials on tv in years. For me, it's the DVD player for all those Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas specials, and not just Charlie Brown, but all the Jules Bass classics as well.

Those old time tv classics are just plain too traditional for today's main stream television market. It's that way for a lot of the shows some of knew and loved back in the day, and not just holiday specials. Shows like "Little House on the Prairie" and "The Walton's" are no longer aired on anything mainstream. I watch the DVDs I have of those two shows, along with the original "Star Trek," "Lost in Space," "21 Jump Street" and a whole host of others.

I had been wondering where that special was this year. However, like everyone else, I watch it on DVD.
