But you can still go to Disney World, go figure.

But not “Mickey’s not so scary Halloween”. I think I saw that. It is odd that Universal and Disney are open but the Halloween events are not happening.

I agree. Throughout the lock down and the phased reopenings, what is allowed/not allowed has been very capricious.

I just don't know what to plan in the way of 'haunted attractions,' this year. I do plan to take a 'haunted road trip' some place, as soon as I get my new car, though.

Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, cancelled.
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will not include any marching bands... oh, darn.
Tournament of Roses Parade, canceled.

As a life-long geek I would be crushed if back-to-school had been cancelled when I was a lad.

I’m with you there.

I enjoyed school, swimming (through undergrad), and computers. Having attractive members of the opposite s-e-x didn’t hurt either. 😀

My kindergartener misses school like crazy. My middle schooler couldn't be happier to miss a year. Can't say I blame her at all. Middle school (or Junior High, as most normal school districts call it) was like three years stuck in A Nightmare on Elm Street, but with less witty monsters.

Most districts call it middle school now, and it encompasses 6-8 grades. My jr high was 7-9. And I agree, it is a terrible time of life. People are lucky to survive it. I loved school, too, but have few positive memories of those years.

My husband teaches in high school. He is glad school is open here and hopes it stays that way. Kids can choose to distance learn, but most are coming in person.

Well it looks like I'll be taking a 'haunted road trip' up to Wisconsin in September.

I can't wait to go, and if I can, I'll post pics, but I've been having problems with file sizes with this forum.
You might have to go on facebook to see them.
