I'm pretty sure they will. I have some old silent era classics that I plan to screen. It should prove to be fun for ToT. The only problem is that we're sticking with daylight savings time, so it won't be dark enough until a little later in the evening. I wish we could just stick to standard time year round.

If we ever do get the same time year round, I really hope it is standard time and not daylight saving! It was actually like that until I was eleven or so, and I never saw anything wrong with it.

The reason why they started daylight savings time is to get an extra hour of daylight in the evening. The problem is, that when they would go to daylight savings time in early spring, they would lose an hour of daylight in the morning. As it get's closer to the Summer Solstice, it doesn't make any difference, because we get what ever number of hours of daylight REGARDLESS of what time the clock says it is. Setting our clocks an hour ahead or back does NOT effect the actual passage of time, NOR does it have any influence on the earth's rotation around the sun. So the whole concept of daylight savings time seems to be a bit of a waist if you ask me.
As for when the days are shorter, I kind of like having the sun set a little ealier in the evening in October, and this year we have a full moon to look forward to on Halloween IN ADDITION TO Halloween falling on a Saturday this year. It would be nice if we could get an extra hour of two of darkness for Halloween night.

I agree. I love the shorter days of autumn. Around here, on standard time in Dec the sun sets at c 4:30. I love it! The Christmas lights sparkle so.
Also, when you keep Daylight Saving running into the short days of the year, the morning becomes more dangerous. Children get struck by cars at bus stops, etc.

That's why I just don't get it why we even have daylight savings time. It only makes things more difficult for school children, and you're going to use the same ammount of electricity for lighting at the morning end of the clock instead of the evening end. And again, as the days grow shorter in the Fall, we're only going to get what ever number of hours of daylight anyway. It won't make any difference if the clock 'officially' says it's 5:00 pm or 4:00 pm.

Daylight savings time can be traced back to the Marquis de Sade, who liked to poke people with safety pins when they weren't looking, and wake them up at irregular hours because it tickled his winkle.
