Welcome! This place rocks, I agree, though it's been a little ghost town-y as of late.

Welcome aboard. I expect that as the months roll by this place will lose the ghost town feel...

Oh man, yeah it was parts of the valley but not all of it. Sadly, being from Missouri I was hoping for snow but didn't get any. The next day I learned that I needed only drive ten miles to be in it. DOH!

Hello fellow Halloweeners...Just checking things out at home on a Saturday afternoon and it is snowing like mad outside! Looks pretty and it is like the big fluffy stuff. I love the winter ...well runner up to Fall of course but it has been snowy and cold here lately and I think I am ready for it to warm up a bit. Cheers!

Speaking of snow, I am home here today as it is super stormy and all the schools are closed...alot of businesses too... like mine so a storm day off is wonderful. Acutally all the schools in my area have been closed since last Wednesday due to the weather! Crazy! Winter...

Here in Ontario, we got nailed with five feet in one day in early December..this was nothing compared to upstate New York that was hit with over eight feet by the end of last week...
The whole town looked pretty dusty and dry roadwise, the other day, actually considered bringing out the bike.. then we got another three inches last night..I don't drive my bike in the snow..sure it's a mountian bike, but I watched some doufus wipe out on HIS about 12 feet from my car one day. Just for fun, measure it out and see how NEAR it is to your wheels...brrrr....
An old buddy in Thailand is following it all with glee...he had never seen snow until he came her for a stay getting his degree...now he's a Weather Channel junkie..his enthusiasum is sort of contagious, and makes me smile when I think how knocked out he'll be at the latest pics he'll get..
