Update in the Life of Mau

I haven't posted here in a while, been busy of course. School's been going really good, and just thought I'd update y'all on that. So far I've been getting a lot of A's in my classes. What really surprised me was the Math, I'm terrible with Math but on my first test I got a 94, an A! I was so happy about that. Here's hoping I'll get those scholarships and get to attend Mary Baldwin like I'd planned. :)

Other than being busy with school, we have been getting ready for Halloween. I've also been working little by little on my own book I'd like to get published.

I also have something really cool I want to show that I found in the basement: http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu89 ... 4808c0.jpg I couldn't wait to get this guy out. Our very own Frankenstein's monster (I call him "Frankie" XD), and he came with the house along with several other cool decorations. I know the picture quality isn't that great, my camera broke so I ended up downgrading to a less pix-elated camera, but it'll have to do for now.

One of my co-workers challenged me to dress like a cowgirl this year, and he's going to dress goth. Should be interesting, it's a little out of my style but I guess that was the point: Dress like the opposite of your personality this year. Anyone ever do that?

Anyway that's all, and I'll probably post some more cool stuff as I go. I got a lot of cool new stuff this year. :)

Glad to hear that school is going well Mau, and good to see that you are back.
I for one am terrible at math. I can't balance a checkbook.
As for Frankie, what a sign that you found the right house. :)

Good to hear from you, Mau! Of course you can make it into Mary Baldwin. And once you are there, I can point you toward a friend on the faculty who is a creative writer.

I once went to a Halloween party where everyone was challenged to dress like his/her "alter ego," which most people (erroneously, I believed) interpreted to mean their polar opposite. I felt like the alter ego was more of a hidden personality, something that most people wouldn't associate with you, but one that was, nevertheless, a part of who you really were. I dressed like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.

Your Frankenstein monster is a great find!

Indeed, I think Frankie adds a nice touch to things. The previous owner left a lot of really cool things, but then again she knew I loved Halloween too. She also left some Christmas stuff.
There's a really big bat she also left that I have outside hanging from the porch. Cute bugger, and the cat with the pumpkin decoration that I hung on the door.

Strangely enough, I wanted Frankie to look out the window, instead he stares at the door. So anyone that comes in has Frankenstein's monster staring at him. XD

I'd be glad to know who you are referring to Murf. I can use any help I can get, and the more contacts and experience I make, I think the better off I'll be job-wise in the future. Little by little I'm building my career goals.

I think my alter ego would be my Original Character Mau, a Celestial Warrior Mage, harnesses the power of the moons and the sun, and wields a sword. And she's an anthropomorphic feline, with some limited shape shifting abilities. :3 Now I feel like a total dork.

We have some pretty cool neighbors now too. And they love Halloween as well. :D

Andy...I was thinking the same thing....hahaha

Good to see you, Mau. I'm glad things are going good for you!

I love the story about Frankie. Right after we moved into our house, (ex hubby and I)
there was a spur of the moment costume party that we were invited to. I had no costume at
the time, and really wasn't in the mood to come up with one. A few days before the party, my
ex was up in the attic, piling away some things that we didn't need after the move, and voila!
A box full of Halloween decorations, and a witch costume. I took it as a sign we should go to
the party!!!!.lol

Alter ego? I suppose I would be a dork, and SpookyMuFu would be me. (Drum roll please)

Good luck on your Halloween and classes Mau.
