You were expecting a joke, yes?
Someone on another site was asking what us Halloween fans should be called, since Halloweenie or Halloweener sound so silly. So far Hallowphile, dark Octoberist, Haunter, Samhainian, and Samhany have been suggested.
I like Hallophile or Samhainian so far. Haunter makes me think more of those who do events.
I propose 'Hallonut'. Naa... still sounds silly.
Hallonaut? The term naut is derived from the Greek word 'nautes', meaning sailor, giving us astronaut, cybernaut, hydronaut. We sail the Hallowed seas. We're Hallonauts! I still keep hearing Hallonut.

at the cons I have attended, "Haunter" seems to be the norm for everyone, then you have subsets like Home Haunter and so on

I call 'em a friend.... or Haunter.
I think Haunter is the most popular term for a fan of Halloween.
