See for yourself. This one's a great deal because it's an amusement park and every October they open their Haunted side. It's spectacular. A 45 minute walk-through.

Awesome! Looks like a lot of fun and a great Halloween experience. I'm a haunted house person myself. Check out this one. I live in Texas and I was around the Dallas/ Fort Worth area and decided to go to it. One of the best haunted houses I've been to. If anyone is around the Dallas/Fort Worth area during October, you should check it out.

I just found out something really cool about one of my very favorite places. The Illinois Railway Museum in Union Illinois. Every October they do a "Terror on the Railroad" haunted train ride, and since I love trains and Halloween, that should prove to be a unique experience. I am also going to have plenty of time, because I'm retiring in May.

If anyone from Illinois wants to do a meet-up there, that might be a fun day.

Have you ever checked out Thrillvania? I've seen it on the Travel Channel and would love to go.

I think currently my favorite Halloween activity is throwing a Halloween party. I have a different theme every year, hand make the invitations, and supply the food. It's great fun and I usually get a pretty good turn out. Last year was the largest at 22 people. That may not seem like a lot, but I have a very small house. People were in every room but the bathroom and bedroom, as well as outside by the fire pit and on the balcony.

This year an amusement park not too far from me, Cedar Point, is featuring Midnight Syndicate live. I'll definitely checking that out.
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

I love hearing about the various "haunted" places and attractions. And the tradition of a Halloween party is terrific.

We do a yard haunt, and we live around the corner form a "destination street," so our neighborhood is pretty active on the big night.

I haven't been, but funny you should mention thrillvania, because they are owned by the same people that own cutting edge! If I am ever in the area again around the season I really wanna check it out!

The Redneck in me LOVES that 4-Wheel drive hearse from the Cutting Edge House House. I could just see the faces of the guys I hunt with if I came pulling up in that!! 8) 8)

My wife on the other hand would roll her eyes and start griping about the insurance and lousy gas mileage.

You could fit 3 or 4 bucks in the back of a hearse so it would end up paying for itself.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.
