Got a movie list for Halloween?
Of course I have to watch the original '78 Halloween. Think I might watch The Skeleton Key since I haven't seen it in a while. Love the southern atmosphere.
I saw a review on Haxan from 1922. It's a silent film but it definitely has some freaky imagery. I'm going to give it a shot. I have never seen a silent film so it's going to be a new experience.

Re: Got a movie list for Halloween?
I have a couple of horror classics from the silent era, Phantom of the Opera and Nosferatu.
I have a rather large collection of scary movies, but there are only a few that I keep coming back to. I like (in no particular order) Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Last Exorcism, Sleepy Hollow, From Hell, The Black Death, Season of the Witch, Mary Reilly.
For comedy I like Hocus Pocus, Ghostbusters, Corpse Bride, Nightmare before Christmas, Dark Shadows (Depp), Frankenweenie.
I can watch Sweeney Todd (1980s, Lansbury/Hearn) anytime, but it works especially well at Halloween. Disney's Scarecrow of Romney Marsh works well this time of year, too.
Halloween TV for me includes The X-Files and Grimm.
I'm sure I've left something out, but these are the ones that leap to my mind.

I have the Creature box set but I'm disappointed that it doesn't include the original 3D cut.Kolchak wrote:I've already begun my Halloween watching. I've just finished all the vampire movies I like...

You weirdos are forgetting to add 'Trick r Treat'. Should be right up there with Hocus Pocus.

Oh, yes, I did omit Trick or Treat, also The Haunting (Julie Harris, early '60s).

Re: Got a movie list for Halloween?
Probably watch The Blair Witch Project too. Have to say it's my second favorite horror film. It was something new and I see it as a pioneer in the horror genre.
Has a nostalgic value too. I remember being 14 at the time and me and some friends had went camping afterwards and it was a just a good time. Even made some blair witch stick figures and hung them in the woods. Wonder if any hunters ever saw them?

I agree. It was really neat to watch it in 3-D on the big screen.

Re: Got a movie list for Halloween?
I think I'll do the comedy scary movies next.
Ernest Scared Stupid
Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein
I just bought a 4 show DVD from the old TV series Psych that was on USA for 8 seasons. This is called their Halloween special DVD with 4 shows that have Shawn and Gus chasing a Mummy, Vampire and a spin off of The Shining and a spin off of Friday the 13th.
This was a real funny tv show and if you haven't seen any of them, you owe it to yourself to check them out.

Has anyone seen Killer Klowns from Outer Space? Didn't Ernest Scared Stupid use the same animatronics from Killer Klowns?
